Owner's Engineer

In 2008 Ross Offshore was awarded a contract by Gassnova for the CO2 storage element of the Carbon Capture and Storage project for Kårstø and Mongstad.  Our project scope was to address concept selection and field development.   We have established an Owner's engineer project team comprising 13 personnel. They are responsible for the areas of geology, reservoir, production, drilling & completion, subsea, risk assessment and project management.  

The 1st stage of the project is due to be completed end December 2009 with the option of an extension to cover the execution phase and delivery of further support services.   

As Gassnova SF Owner's Engineer within Field Development, Ross Offshore is working on one of the most high-profile CO2 injection systems on the Norwegian continental shelf.  The project team has managed the project through the concept selection phase, identifying safe storage and injection locations, running reservoir simulations, flow assurance, well designs, managing the subsea system FEED contractor and addressing HSE & Risk issues.  To date Ross Offshore's delivery is on schedule and within budget.
