Wintershall Norge ASA - Consultancy services
Ross Offshore has entered into a framework agreement for Consultancy services with Wintershall Norge ASA based in Stavanger.
The framework agreement is valid from 01.04.2010.
First assignment is within HTHP drilling engineering consultancy services in relations with planning and operational follow-up of drilling of a HTHP exploration well.
Wintershall Norge ASA has already established itself as an active participant in the E&P sector in Norway. In December 2008 Wintershall acquired the former Norwegian oil and gas company Revus Energy ASA.
Revus Energy ASA, recently acquired by Wintershall, and the subsidiary responsible for the Norwegian operations, Wintershall Norge AS, each received three additional licenses for exploration areas in the Norwegian North Sea in the 2008 licensing round of the Norwegian Ministry of Petroleum and Energy. Wintershall will be the operator in five of the six licenses. The company is now one of the largest license holders on the Norwegian continental shelf and operates a total of 19 licenses.
Wintershall has been active in the North Sea since 1965 and now operates 26 platforms overall there – 25 of these in Dutch territorial waters and one in German waters. Since summer 2006 Wintershall has acquired exploration rights to around 50 blocks and sub-blocks in the German, British, Norwegian, Danish and Dutch areas of the North Sea, where it is searching for new gas and oil deposits.
