These new business areas where created to offer project based services to the O&G business utilizing the strength of the established senior consultancy network. In 2008 Ross Offshore was awarded the Subsurface scope of work on the Gassnova CCS project.
Change in ownership
In 2008, Ross Offshore AS joined the Subsea Technology Group, part of Hitech Vision fund IV. The group was a substantial supplier of subsea, drilling, well intervention, field life cycle services and products to the upstream oil and gas industry. In 2011 the majority owner decided to sell Poseidon and Bennex, and later Altra. To increase the effort towards the D&W market an acquisition/merger with Odfjell Well Management was concluded in summer 2011. The combined company is now a significant player within D&W, resource management, CO2 storage and early phase field development on the NCS.
